1. The “Hand-Off”
Why is it so challenging to get to the right person, quickly? You don’t need to waste time to restate your issue from the beginning to bring this new person up to speed on what you were trying to accomplish. How your needs & expectations are managed, right from the start of a partnership, is critical to success of your program.
When the staffing opportunity transitions from sales to operations – we call it “the HAND-OFF.”
The seamless transitions begins when you’re introduced to your Operations Manager. The HAND-OFF from the sales team to your account manager is designed to ensure all event details are presented and confirmed. And frankly, it’s often where new information arises, program changes occur, and details are clarified – with the right people in the process.
You need answers. Remember the last time you tried to talk with your Account Manager, or reached customer service and your call was transferred to another department who could “better assist you”? A successful HAND-OFF helps ensure the communication process.
2. Pick up the phone!
Who can deny the convenience of email & text? And yet, with all the good that comes from these tools, they can lead to misunderstandings. When we take time to pick up the phone, it allows us to expand upon what was initially trying to be communicated. In many cases, identifying the message clarity we both desire. While we’re all grateful email & text, don’t miss the opportunity to supplement these “instant” communications with a phone call. Trust in an “old-fashioned” principle – because it works.
3. 24/7 Access
“I prefer to have to plan my day around someone else’s schedule”- No one ever.
You’re tackling a ton of responsibilities outside of ensuring the right ambassadors arrive for your program. You need 24/7 access to make sure all of the last-minute needs are met for your event. This kind of communication availability as essential to a productive working relationship. Ensure you receive direct open access to a dedicated Account Manager and the Business Development Manager, as well as a full-time Manager available on weekends. Your partner must be available when YOU need them.
Over the last 26 years, Fusion Event Staffing has learned the effectiveness of prompt communication. “The Power of Performance” leans heavily on our commitment to making this kind of communication the rule for our team instead of the exception. So let’s talk!
